Birds…

There is a Sense of Joy in Air

A Grateful Day to Partake

It’s such a Beautiful Day

The Sun is Shining, Oh so Bright

Birds flying with all their Might

Birds basking in the Sunlight

Flying high in the Sky

White Wings embracing every Sunbeam

Dipping down, around so Playfully

Movements seem so Precise

The sounds they make, is Music to my ears a speech, I cannot not articulated

The Language Beautiful Still…

Observing Birds on a Beautiful Day

So Safe…

Falling, falling, falling Down

This Static in my head, is not magic

It’s like someone changed the Station

Attempting to grab onto the metal Bar

There are too many, they keep moving, the Station keeps Changing

Sounds distorted, What is this Taste

Oh No…A fuzzy Screen gone Blank

Loud voices, many Faces Staring

Gentle Hands, Angels Sent

Kneel just in Time, to Keep You from Falling

Helping, Landing You Safety on the Floor

The Floor is cold, yet there is a Warmth

How wonderful behold Bright Lights Shining All Around

Lights so Bright, they Dim the Lights

Resting in Peaceful Blest

Grateful for Loving Care

So Safe…

In His Arms

Thank You Lord

Flickering Candle

The Winter Storm caused sudden Power Outages in the Sinclair Neighborhood. Darkness seem to engulf the small Private Community. Somehow this Welcoming well to do neighborhood had lost it’s glitter, it’s lights.

The Sinclair Country Club Lights could usually be seen glistening in the moonlight from up to five to ten miles out in any direction. It’s appearance from afar with the purple overhead lighting gave it Grand Stadium look.

Sara could tell we were frightened and starting to get frigid from the cold. She had been the Twins Nanny since they were three months old. They just celebrated their twelfth birthday last week before their parents left on business.

There Cellphones still had service. Sara connected them on a three way call as moved about the house getting blankets, the Candle from the kitchen, drinks and snacks. She kept the girls engaged in conversation as she gathered everything and placed it in a basket.

Once she got the girls snuggled as a bug with the blankets. Sitting on the floor Sara lit the Small Jarred Candle. It flickered and flared giving off a gentle bright light that gave them all a sense of security. The Flickering Candle pushed back the darkness giving them the sense of light.

Sara settled on the small Loveseat in the girls room and phone the Electric Company regarding the PowerOutage. As she suspected their had been various calls. There was a recording offering apologies, explanation and a timeline of 2 hours.

Sara took a deep breath as looked at the Flickering Candle the beauty of the light. The Twins were amazed at the melted wax, it color against the jar.

They enjoyed eating snacks, telling stories of old and how they will never forget this night. Their time together, the small Jarred Candle, which gave them so much Light.

Burned out candle

The little candle has almost burned itself out. Just mostly a puddle of wax, a tiny piece of wick and a small flame remained. Mark sat and stared at it. His thoughts were far away. To him this candle was a symbol of life, dwindling and burning out. It wasn’t his life that he was thinking of but that of his father’s. The man who had lived his life for his family. Working two jobs so that his mother stayed at home and took care…
