We have come a Mighty Long Way
We have not yet Arrived
Much progress has been Made
Many walls have come Down
We have even walked Hand in Hand
Unfortunately, there some People who were Raised with Hearts of hate and Racism,
Passed down through family generations as a Norm
Holding on to that which has been Engrained
Only Truth from the Light can Remove such Scales
There is Hope, we still have a ways to Go
Love shall Prevail

According to Gandhi: “Be the change, if you want to see a change in the world…” This is an appeal to each of us, no longer to reform others but to reform ourselves and take responsibility – the more people will change themselves for a better world – an avalanche of spiritual revolution will take place around the globe and bring light, love, respect and new strong values and aims to mankind.
Thanks for sharing, my dear friend – a really important subject.
Big hugs

Yes, my dear Yonnie, and the secret lies in each of us: to get to know ourselves, in order to get to know our Selves (that is One in All and All in One) as the old Greek wise men also said: “Gnothi seauton!” means: “Man know thyself!” – in this way we have to dive deep into our mind, to get to know it, to get to know who we are, from where we come, where we have to go… This is a life-long process and is called self-cognition or an analysis of oneself – then our own mind cannot run where it wants without any control, as soon as we become aware of our own thoughts and its consequent ripples (good or bad).
Much love and light to you, my dear sister 🙏

I like the poem! Thanks for sharing it!
I think we’ve got to think in terms of generations here, Yonnie, and I believe your poem explains why: “Holding on to that which has been Engrained” As you know, it’s so much harder to re-educate an adult than it is to educated a child. .

I take hope and faith in the fact that racism, bigotry, and hatred are not — so far as I can see — deeply rooted in human nature, but are instead cultural behaviors and attitudes, Yonnie. By which I mean, it’s true our nature makes them possible, but the specific forms they take are taught to kids by their parents, etc. Those teachings can be challenge, changed, and progress can be made. That at least, is how I see it.
Thank you so much for your kind and generous compliments. Much appreciated.

Yonnie, Dr. King’s dream is still alive today. I am sure he looks down from above and wishes he could march with all of God’s people. We will have to allow his words to resonate with us instead.

Even though there is still a ways to go, you are right, there is hope! We need to each of us do our part and learn to love one another, because, after all, we are all equal, created equal by God. A wonderful poem here Yonnie, I enjoyed it very much! On another note, I used your suggestion and started Life’s Recipe today. Have a great evening!
