Venetia was anxious, yet calm as she drove through the storm to pick up Sara. This tempest Tropical Storm had knocked the power out. Flood waters, poured in from both sides of the sliding glass doors. The force was great as the raising waters, rapidly filled the basement. Waters now reached about three feet and was up to the third step. This storm was expected to continue the next 48 hours.
Driving with extreme caution was difficulty. Forceful Winds were unleashed, blowing at a speed of 40 miles per hour. It was making it almost impossible to see, but Venetia treaded the waters carefully, driving across town, paying close attention to signs.
Determined to arrive safely, pick up Sara, then check in to the Hotel 20 miles down the road. She knew it was a miracle they happened to have one room left.
Meanwhile, Sara moved her things closer to the door, putting them on the shelving as to keep everything dry. She made sure to unplug every electronic device in an outlet placing them on the third level in a high place to save as much as possible. Somethings had sentimental value.
Taking a deep breath, whispering a prayer under her breathe. She begin to sing out loud, dancing and twirling. Water had reached the second level, it was enough to splash. That is exactly what Sara did. Suddenly, the door opened, it was Venetia. Both smiling, they embraced one another, crying tears of joyous relief.
They did a Splash Dance as they went towards the front door, and grabbed Sara’s things. It was still raining, the winds had died down. Exhausted, they pulled up to the Valet, at the Singermont Hotel.

Yes, a situation like that would definitely be scary. There those who have endured such weather with worst impacts. Miracles still happen everyday.
