In the morning we awaken to a new day.
Arise, seize new opportunities of the day.
Giving thanks always to you, Oh God!
I am so Grateful!
Caught in the moment, caught in the here and now.
Drawing closer, just to hear your voice.
No longer distracted, but humbly bowing before thee, not my will, but unto thee.
Enjoying your presence. 💜
Robin knew better than to accept a ride from a stranger, but she missed all the signs and whistles. All she could see was that handsome smile, the nice clean cut and the silhouette of his shirt outlining his well defined toned body.
Now she was sitting in the passenger intoxicated by the cologne he is wearing and she didn’t even get a name. Smiling, trying not to seem nervous, especially after hopping in the car with a total stranger with no hesitation. She asked if he could turn the music down, since her street was coming up soon. He looked blankly at her, turning the music up even louder as, He sped faster as he passed her street.
Now Robin was scared and in disbelief, but still trying to remain calm. She then began attempt to engage him in conversation by asking him if he was from the area? What’s your favorite food? Where do you work? Nothing work, it was as though, He was millions of miles away and she was not there.
Afraid to scream or make any sudden move to exit the car. Robin began to pray out loud, like never before.
She started out by asking God to forgive her for not entrusting Him with her life and for trying to do things her way. Lord You know my current situation show me the way I should go and what I should do. Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God; may Your Spirit Lead me to a safe and level ground. For Your name’s sake, Lord, preserve my life; in Your righteousness, bring me out of this trouble.Touch this man’s heart, his mind, free him in Jesus Mighty Name.
When Robin opened her eyes they were parked in front of a police station. Several officers were standing outside in the front on the side walk talking. They noticed the car pull up and the man sobbing with his hands up, shouting “your looking for me, I’m so sorry” repeatedly.
She sat in the car as they got him out, read him his rights and handcuffed. Right before they took him away, he looked back at her and said “Thank You,” as the lead him up the stairs.
Two Officers came to Robins aid, along with Emergency Care. They told her she was very lucky to be alive. There was a settled Peace upon Robin. She thanked God for preserving her life devising a plan of safety and escape.
They then asked “how did you convince him to turn himself.” Robin response was simple; she told them about her prayer and how she trusted God. Robin also shared the important lessons learned from this experience that would last a lifetime. 💜
Psalm 143:8, 10-11
Is Love an action word?
It remains to be seen. Love that is hidden. How normal is it that? You speak the word “Love” to your child, then disassociate yourself from them. The one they know as father.
Your choice of not being involved in that child’s life, goes far beyond responsibility, there are other agendas set in motion like abandonment issues, identity crisis, anxiety and trust. The danger of not displaying inward love of affection, then not showing the outwardly component of caring hardens the heart . Just because you say the word does not give it power or content, it has no history. This is not True Love, but sabotage. It has come to rob you of your joy and God’s Unconditional Love.
When we meant the other day, I knew it was not by mistake. Your story touched me in ways you would never, as I listened, we prayed. The Holy Spirit intervened, meant us at the very place at that precise moment.
Love is much like Faith. “Faith without works is dead.” James 2:26 When we have faith there should be evidence fruit- a changed life obedience. Just as Faith without Work is dead, so is a life without Love.
True Love is unconditional. It is outwardly seen, not hidden in the cold shadows of ones selfishness.
The ultimate display of Unconditional Love, is as Jesus hung on the cross, in obedience, so none would be lost or Fatherless.
God is your Father and He Loves You too!
“A father to orphans and an advocate for widows is God in his holy dwelling place.” Psalm 68:5
