Faith Surrender Let Go Yield
By John Hain
Robin knew better than to accept a ride from a stranger, but she missed all the signs and whistles. All she could see was that handsome smile, the nice clean cut and the silhouette of his shirt outlining his well defined toned body.
Now she was sitting in the passenger intoxicated by the cologne he is wearing and she didn’t even get a name. Smiling, trying not to seem nervous, especially after hopping in the car with a total stranger with no hesitation. She asked if he could turn the music down, since her street was coming up soon. He looked blankly at her, turning the music up even louder as, He sped faster as he passed her street.
Now Robin was scared and in disbelief, but still trying to remain calm. She then began attempt to engage him in conversation by asking him if he was from the area? What’s your favorite food? Where do you work? Nothing work, it was as though, He was millions of miles away and she was not there.
Afraid to scream or make any sudden move to exit the car. Robin began to pray out loud, like never before.
She started out by asking God to forgive her for not entrusting Him with her life and for trying to do things her way. Lord You know my current situation show me the way I should go and what I should do. Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God; may Your Spirit Lead me to a safe and level ground. For Your name’s sake, Lord, preserve my life; in Your righteousness, bring me out of this trouble.Touch this man’s heart, his mind, free him in Jesus Mighty Name.
When Robin opened her eyes they were parked in front of a police station. Several officers were standing outside in the front on the side walk talking. They noticed the car pull up and the man sobbing with his hands up, shouting “your looking for me, I’m so sorry” repeatedly.
She sat in the car as they got him out, read him his rights and handcuffed. Right before they took him away, he looked back at her and said “Thank You,” as the lead him up the stairs.
Two Officers came to Robins aid, along with Emergency Care. They told her she was very lucky to be alive. There was a settled Peace upon Robin. She thanked God for preserving her life devising a plan of safety and escape.
They then asked “how did you convince him to turn himself.” Robin response was simple; she told them about her prayer and how she trusted God. Robin also shared the important lessons learned from this experience that would last a lifetime. 💜

Psalm 143:8, 10-11
The sound of the water clapping against currents is like thousands waves clashing harmoniously together.
With hands lifted upward as a sign of surrender and adoration to you, in celebration of your majesty arrival. Drawing closer welcoming the warm embrace of your presence.

Surrendered in your presence
No longer distracted…
Focused with thoughts of you,
Completely rested.
My heart is filled with love, praise and adoration to you.
You are my song, the one I can depend on.
There is no other place, I would rather be.
Surrendered in your presence, oh God!
